Jorm Form Automation (formerly named Jorm Form Fields) was created with the aim of identifying and improving workflow for a specific case area. A key area that stood out as a bottleneck was form data entry being made by members of staff. In some case these members of staff would copy and paste data from over 200+ fields from their own internal CRM to an external service/website forms such as the Complaint form by the Financial Ombudsman Service (note: this forms has over 300 fields., most are conditional).
Staff claimed that they typically submitted between 1-3 of these submissions per-day. With the use of Jorm they were able to take that per-staff submission value to 20+ and work through their backlog. This was just one specific form.
Important note the example scenario omit specifics such as; file readiness checks, etc. There was already a significant back log of work pending human review and submission.
In practice the key take here is this saves users valuable time by auto-filling mapped data. It intended for use by professionals. The larger and more complex a form the greater the time saving; factor in multiple forms (we don’t limit the total domain/url’s associated to an account) and the time saving can be significant. Your users can then focus on proof reading/validating output.
Note: Developers/administrators will still have to build & test their links using our mapping templates from their internal CRM’s before releasing to staff. You are responsible for mapping your data to the correct fields, we provide templates to assist in this operation.
Jorm Portal Usage
For account owner/system designers/administrators; we have provided the Jorm Administrator Portal where you can:
- Submit new urls for indexing.
- Review linked urls/domain to your account and associated form data:
- Build URL templates.
- View all available form fields and experiment with the preview form.
- Generate authentication tokens for extension users:
- Additionally generate provisioning links that can be sent to users that will configured(login users) to the Jorm Form Automation Chrome extension.
How does the extension integrate with the portal?
Owners/admins generate authentication tokens from the Portal; they share these with users of the extension in their organisation. Once a user is authenticated within the extension’ The origins (URLs) linked to your account are used for:
- Approving extension access to a origin (one of the few operations that must be performed by the users see Chrome Manifest v3 notes for more details)
- Syncing form data maps for URL query parameters access (automatic)
Our Jorm Form Automation administrator guide covers usage in greater details, and we have put together a Jorm focused product support page.
Below is a preview demonstrating the form data and URL query parameters templating tools available under the Jorm Portal:

We do not collect, nor transmit any data parsed by this extension learn more in our privacy policy. Additionally the URL parameters generated by the Jorm service are only compatible with the Jorm extension. It should also be noted that it is unusual that forms found web support GET parameters unless designed to. Jorm doesn’t transmit these URL parameters instead it is intercepting requests to user approved domains.
